a, m. a boar, Edda (Gl.), Skálda 205 (in a verse); as a curse on a Runic stone, ráði tekr þár runsi rúnum þimsum, may the boar take them who confound these Runes! Rafn 165; cp. the phrases, verða at rata, see rati (for verða at ráða?), and verða at gjalti = to run mad, see göltr.
