As defined by the Cleasby & Vigfusson Old Norse to English dictionary:
- lögréttu-fé (lǫgréttu-fé)
- n. the treasury of the l., from which the lögsögu-maðr was paid, Grág. i. 3.
Orthography: The Cleasby & Vigfusson book used letter ö to represent the original Old Norse vowel ǫ. Therefore, lögréttu-fé may be more accurately written as lǫgréttu-fé.
Possible runic inscription in Younger Futhark:ᛚᚢᚴᚱᛁᛏᛏᚢ-ᚠᛁ
Younger Futhark runes were used from 8th to 12th centuries in Scandinavia and their overseas settlements
