Engl. knick-knack = trifle]:—a kind of little chair, high stool; skaltú gera kistu at móður þinni ok undir knakka, make a coffin and a hearse, Fs. 132; hann settisk niðr á einn knakk, Bs. ii. 186; stólar fjórir, knakkr, lectari, Pm. 17; lang-knakkr, an oblong bench; eldar vóru stórir í elda-skálanum, ok sátu þar nokkurir menn á langknökkum, Finnb. 310; hand-knakkr (q. v.), a kind of crutches.
