Gr. λσία or λεία, qs. γλαία?]:—one of the stones to keep the warp straight in the old upright loom; þá er ek sló vefinn, þá féll af einn kléinn af miðjum vefnum ok tók ek upp, ok þá sá ek at kljár þeir vóru ekki nema manna-höfuð, Fms. xi. 49; manna-höfuð vóru fyrir kljána, Nj. 275. kljá-grjót, n. a weaver’s stones, Nj. 275, v. l.
